Becoming a Smuggler: Migration and Violence at EU External Borders

Migrants’ involvement in smuggling increases alongside restricted cross-border movement and violent borders, yet this dynamic is usually examined from migrants’ position as clients. In article, we move away migrants smugglers two separate roles question aspirations to experiences of resorting networks workers the context EU land where direct violence used daily fight crime. By doing so, further examination fluid relations provisions way they are intertwined with care exploitation, shaped circumscribed by borders.
